Change of Pace, but Worth the Time.

Last week, “Selected Shorts”, a program carried by NPR, did a reading of “The Debt”, by Edith Wharton. If you missed it and are not familiar with the story, I recommend it. It was written in 1910, but holds up well. To say more would be to spoil the experience.

Magnificent story. It really captures the essence of what a parent wishes for their child: the ability to stand and contradict the parent fearlessly, filled with the righteousness of conviction. Thank you for this gift.
