Why I Can't Vote for John McCain
“We’re Americans. We never quit…”
Fall of Saigon
Somalia
“…We don’t hide from history,”
Smallpox Blankets
Columbine Miners Massacre
Johns Manville’s Great Escape from Asbestos Lawsuits
“…we make history!”
Rambo!
“Barak Obama says he wants to ‘spread the wealth around’.
That’s not our country!” - John McCain
Halliburton's No-bid Contracts
Economic Stimulus Act of 2008
Regressive Tax
Any tax structure that favors one economic group over another, either by nature or by loopholes, represents a redistribution of wealth.
One other point of clarification in closing to avoid a potential shitstorm of outrage from the Patriotic Armchair Military. US Soldiers do all that is asked of them, generally speaking. Sometimes it makes sense to throw in the towel. Those who exclude this possibility are poor strategists who create nothing but casualties. My objection here is to the delusional rhetoric, not to the actions of military personnel in the performance of their duty.

Is it bad that I vote against people more often than I vote for them?
Still: McCain scares me. At least this campaign
Pix: I don't believe you are alone.
BL: I agree with you. The soldiers are doing their job, and I have no issue with them. I do, however, have a major issue with their bosses. They embrace the "bravery of being out of range (thanks to Roger Waters for the song)" and send the young to die for their misguided belief that the entire world has to look and act like us or there is something wrong.
The one thing I find interesting about your country, youre supposed to retire at 65 legally, yet your president is allowed to be elected at any age. Talk about double standards and it starts at your highest level.
Hang on a moment...nobody is SUPPOSED to retire at 65. For most people born before 1950, they CAN retire at 65 and collect their full stipend from Social Security. In my age category, we can't retire with full benefits until age 67, and it's going higher with the next age group. I work with people who are in their late 60s and early 70s and have no plans to retire. There is no such thing as SUPPOSED TO RETIRE. Where are you from, man?
Kalan...
If I got that wrong I apologize, I assumed I guess wrongly that it was a requirement. Oops. Mind you, hes still too old to lead.
Without a doubt he is getting up there in age, and his health is questionable, but many people would make good leaders at advanced age. There is the glaring problem, as I see it, of his being less than a desirable leader, with his far right political beliefs. But then, I am a flaming liberal, I guess.....
:-)
This is great investigating.
History will judge the USA experiment as a huge Military machine much like the Roman Empire..which also crumbled from within as the Barabarians attacked their foreign outposts and chipped away at their over extended occupations.
McRage could still win if the s0-called Terrorists attack before the voting booths open in November.
This will set the tone for the 21st Century and the rest of the world has an approval rating of your country that prolly mirrors Dubya's.
Good Luck my friend.
Another bleeding heart liberal checking in.
Bravo on this post!
Peace is Patriotic.
Happy Halloween, BTW. Watch out for Zombie Jesus.
Obama wins!!!! Hip hip hooray!!!
BL: Your place or mine tomorrow? I'll bring the lavender oil, you bring the blindfold and strawberries. You wear those nice tight jeans, I'll wear a smile....
ILD
You guys are so confusing. You know that there are 2 BL's around.
BreakersLion. Good job on the political end, though I've been late to comment.
I'll be back to pick a fight with you when I can.
