yeah, I am in mourning. :(
"Welcome to the Monkey House" was my favorite book of his.
I liked to hear him on interveiws, also. He always had the most wonderful irreverent(?) things to say. He was so human.
He also had great pacifist ideals. He had a profound influence on me when he talked about what a fate worse then death as some sort of great justifacation for war, meant to him.
